In the next part of this series, I have made a version of my fry sauce to share. Using the AquaFaba mayo.
I still enjoy the one with ranch (I will try to make a neat homemade ranch with the bean mayo) or sour cream of course, but this one is for those who want something more Vegan friendly.
Seeing that I’m not much of a mayo fan, I thought that I would give this a try. First, make this, then make this second, then you can make this wonderful no egg mayo fry sauce. There may be some Vegan mayo out there to cut out steps one & two, I don’t know.
1 Tbsp AF Mayo
3 Tbsp Ketsup
1/16 tsp powdered garlic
1/16 tsp powdered onion
1/16 tsp white pepper
For those who want a bolder fry sauce (hot)
1 Tbsp AF Mayo
3 Tbsp Ketchup
1/4 tsp powdered garlic
1/4 tsp powdered onion
1/4 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp ground cayenne pepper
Veg people; be mindful of the ingredients in your ketchup. I mix with basic or house brand ketchup, that have very little other spices or ingredients, but I don’t restrict ingredients.
Mix all ingredients & let stand at least five minutes.
This will make a slightly sweet French fry/dipping sauce.
Letting this stand for more than 24 hours will produce better results. In a hurry? Add 5 dashes of Tabasco brand hot sauce & omit the other peppers.
There you have it.
Those who want this for a pureed (dysphagia) diet, leave out the peppercorns (white or black), & dissolve the garlic & onion powder first (NO CHOKING).
